Our team

Hervé has extensive experience in business and project development in developing countries, particularly in Latin America and Africa. He was CEO of Elf Lubricants in Mexico, 1990 - 1997 and CEO of Elf Lubricant‘s international division, 1998 - 2002. In this role, he managed 13 subsidiaries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. He was President of IFIA (Interafrican Forest Industries Association) from 2005 - 2011.

He played a key role in obtaining FSC certification of 5.3 million forest hectares. In addition, he was also instrumental in promoting tropical woods in international markets and championing high value processing of forest products in Africa. He has also served as a lecturer at HEC Paris on company management in emerging countries.

Hervé has a Master’s degree in Philosophy, a degree in Law and graduated from EDHEC in business administration. In addition, he studied international marketing at INSEAD (1988). He speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.

Clément started his career in 2006 at the French Forestry Commission before joining the sustainable development team of Ernst & Young. At Ernst & Young, he initiated and successfully implemented the firm’s forest certification activity. He then was appointed Head of Business Development at ONF International where he co-founded the Moringa Fund.

He chairs its Agroforestry Forestry Technical Assistance Facility and is a board member of several of its portfolio companies (Jus Délice, Floresta Viva, Tolaro, TexBel).

Clément studied Biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. He has a Masters Degree in Ecology and Biology, an Executive Masters in Environmental Management (Mines & Agro ParisTech) and a private equity certificate from the Wharton School. He also serves as an associate professor at les Mines & Agro ParisTech. He speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Guillaume has 10 years’ experience in finance (structuring private equity funds, deal origination, mergers and acquisition with Lazard and Natixis (2002-2003 and 2007-2008) and auditing with Ernst & Young (2003-2005)). Guillaume spent five years with La Compagnie Benjamin de Rothschild (CBR) before transitioning to Moringa in 2013. With CBR, he executed several fund raisings for European cleantech companies, before participating in the structuring of several private equity funds with strong environmental and social focuses. In particular, he participated in founding and creating BeCapital, a € 148 million European cleantech fund co-developed with Cobepa (Belgium), and structuring Moringa for CBR. He worked on defining strategies, recruiting investment teams, legal and tax structuring, and organising and structuring deals.

Adrien first worked at Ernst&Young where he developed and audited triple bottom line performance reporting among other strategy jobs. He then worked for ten years with the Suez group with evolving responsibilities. First acting as senior market analyst on secondary raw materials world markets Adrien took a position as chief of staff at group’s board level. He then set up and managed Suez corporate venture team and investment fund for 4+ years and lately hold a field management position leading and transforming the group’s French organic recycling activities (350 people, 60 sites, 65mEUR under management).

Adrien graduated in economics and management at HEC Paris and in economics of environment and natural resources at AgroParisTech.

Davy Martin has five years of experience in sustainable development and corporate finance. After some research led at McGill University on forest carbon balance modelling and at Imperial College on behavioural economics applied to conservation science, he spent four years at EY (Ernst & Young) from 2013 to 2017, both as a senior consultant among financial audit teams – for which he led the review of financial reporting for listed companies – and among the sustainable development team, in which he was in particular in charge of conducting environmental, social & governance consulting services and on-site due diligence assignments for investment players, especially in Africa and Latin America. He built his expertise in a large range of sectors, including forestry and other sector associated with strong environmental impacts – mining, oil & gas and energy services.

Davy graduated from Ecole Polytechnique where he specialized in Economics and Mathematics applied to Sustainable Development issues. He then strengthened these skills through a Master of Science in Ecology at Imperial College London.

Since 2014, Oriane has worked on outgrower scheme development to include local communities into agri-business development and enhance positive social and environmental impacts. She first worked at ONF International where she specialized in agroforestry projects, ESG risks management and impact analysis giving technical assistance to Moringa. Before, Oriane worked on different sustainable development topics and projects in collaboration with CIRAD (French agricultural research centre for development), Pur Projet and Project GreenHands (financed by the Yves Rocher Foundation). She gained strong field experience in Nicaragua and Peru - where she performed socio-economic analysis of coffee and cocoa farmers - in Cameroun and in India.

Oriane graduated in International Affairs at Sciences Po Lyon and in Development Economics and Sustainable Development at CERDI, the French Research Centre dedicated to International Development. She is now a PhD Candidate at Sorbonne Paris Cité (Paris Diderot) in Economics, co- directed by researchers from IRD and CIRAD. She focuses on the advancement of agroforestry practices through integration strategies and contract farming - in cocoa and coffee value chains.

Before joining Moringa Partnership, Isabelle was Executive Assistant in the CSOEC « Centre de Formation du Conseil Supérieur de l’Ordre des Experts-Comptables de France ». Previously, she managed a family business for 15 years before becoming an Office Manager for CACF Bank « Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance », then at Renault RCI Bank « The Financial Services Provider for the Groupe Renault » and then at ADEME (Agence de l' Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l' Energie).

Among the teams in ADEME's Economics and Strategic Foresight department, Isabelle has developed a strong sensitivity to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), particularly in the context of greenhouse gas reduction work to reach the French "factor 4" French objective.

Isabelle has a Bachelor in Organizational Management and is a graduate in Accounting and Finance Management.

Charlotte specializes in corporate finance. She joined Moringa in January 2017 where she now ensures financial follow-up of Moringa’s portfolio.

She gained a sound experience in finance working in a Mexican think tank, Ethos, where she analyzed Mexican public finances and at the French Ministry of Health where she was in charge of budget modeling for the structure of rare diseases in French hospitals.

Charlotte graduated in Economics at Sciences Po Paris. She speaks French, English and Spanish.

Florence Laloë has over 6 years’ experience in legal advisory and 10 years in strategic planning, project management, stakeholder relations and sustainability within corporate, international organisations and NGO cultures. Florence was first an associate corporate lawyer before joining the United Nations Development Program in Brazil, followed by ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) where she became the CEO for Latin America and the Caribbean. Since 2015, she has joined ONF International, first as Director in Forestry and Lanscapes and now as Chief Operating Officer.

During her career, she coordinated international projects on climate change policies and plans, low emission development strategies, REDD+, forestry, agroforestry, entrepreneurship in sustainable timber and non-timber forest sectors, biodiversity management, sustainable procurement and waste management.

Florence holds a J.D. In Law from PUC/SP in Brazil, a Masters in Political Science – Development Studies with focus on Sustainability from Sciences Po Paris and a certificate from the University of Cambridge on Business and Sustainability.
